Solar Energy Center held the meeting of council and the second meeting of Academ

On the morning of November 21th, Hubei Collaborative Innovation Center for High-efficiency Utilization of Solar Energy (in the following is called Solar Energy Center for short) held the second meeting of the Council ,Strategy Seminar, and the Second Meeting of the Academic Committee and the Dialogue of the Construction of the Cluster of Academic Programs. Following were attending the meeting: Cheng Shijie, the academician of Chinese Academy of Science; Liu Defu, the headmaster of Hubei University of Technology (HBUT); Dong Shijie, the vice headmaster of HBUT, Liu Wen, Center director of Solar Energy Center, the members of council committee and academic committee, and the main leaders of the school of electrical engineering, school of science, the office of subjects, office of science and industry, as well as the people in charge of the center and the whole staff of PI. The opening ceremony of the meeting was hosted by Dong Shijie.

Liu Defu delivered a speech in the opening ceremony, which extended the warm welcome and hearty gratitude to every leader and expert who attended meeting. At the meantime, he also introduced the progress that he Solar Energy Center has made in strengthening the center construction and making management institution standard. In addition, he expressed his hope that the experts who attended the meeting would give support to the scientific research of our school as greatly as before, and give their precious comments and suggestions. Liu Wen made a report of the progress of Solar Energy Center Construction and the working project of 2016 to the experts in the meeting. After the opening ceremony, the experts in the meeting had a group photo to mark the occasion. After that, the second meeting of the Council and Strategy Seminar, and the Second Meeting of the Academic Committee and the Dialogue of the Construction of the Cluster of Academic Programs were held in two meeting places.

The Second Meeting of the Council and the Strategy Seminar was hosted by Liu Defu. The meeting discussed and permitted the proposal of employing Dong Shijie as the member of the Academic Committee and Lü Hui as the deputy director of center. Wu Tiezhou, the Deputy managing director of Solar Energy Center, reported the usage of funds of the Solar Energy Center in 2014-2015, and the plan of financial budget in 2016, as well as the introduction of the files. The Council reviewed the files thoroughly and approved five files like the Administrative Measures on the Construction of PI Team in Solar Energy Efficient Utilization of the Cooperative Innovation Center in Hubei Province (Trial) and Financial Budget Plan in 2016 of Solar Energy Efficient Utilization of the Cooperative Innovation Center in Hubei Province. The council also reviewed and approved the Final Discussion of the Second Meeting of the Council. The issue of the meeting was how to strengthen and improve the cooperative innovation system between collages, university-enterprises and enterprises. The members of council expressed their own opinions and agreed that it was an inevitable tendency that strengthened the cooperation of teamwork and synergistic innovation was bound to push technology advanced, and the Solar Energy Center should regard this as one of the major working directions. Liu Defu made the conclusion and speech. He pointed out that the Solar Energy Center should have the spirits of innovation to further explore the Human Resource Management System that was beneficial for advancing cooperative innovation, and form the Assessment System that was oriented by which was beneficial for quality and innovative construction. Besides, the Center should also create the cultural environment that was good for cooperative innovation and perfect the sound establishment of the supervised mechanism and funds management that is beneficial to standard and efficient use.

The Second Meeting of the Academic Committee and the Dialogue of the Construction of the Cluster of Academic Programs was host by Cheng Shijie. The members of the meeting voted and approved Dong Shijie as vice director of Academic Committee. The members of the meeting attended the research and progress report of the focus in Solar Energy Center----PI Team, together with collage PI Team, and expressed their opinions and made suggestions. The vice director, Huang Chuyun made a report about the situation of the construction of subject group of high efficiency use of solar energy, and the experts that attended the meeting demonstrated it. Having been discussed thoroughly by experts in the meeting, in principle, the meeting reviewed and approved Management on Technological Innovation Fund for Collage students in Hubei Collaborative Innovation Center for High-efficiency Utilization of Solar Energy (Trial), and approved the Directions on Project Application of Open-end Fund for Hubei Collaborative Innovation Center for High-efficiency Utilization of Solar Energy in 2015 (Trial). The meeting agreed that the Solar Energy Center made great and positive progress in 2015, and the direction setting of Cluster of Academic Programs was basically reasonable, the location of goals were suitable. By means of construction, the center would strongly accelerate the development of relative subjects. The committee advised the center to strengthen research, to further focus the research directions, to combine with the need of enterprises, and to create features. The members in the meeting believed that with the efforts of every PI Team, the Solar Energy Center could make greater contribution to serving local industry.
